About Me

A Sunday Family Affair

At my household, Sundays are a hectic time for meal preparation. After leaving our place of worship, my husband and I usually don’t have time to cook Sunday lunch. Therefore, we’ve started a Sunday family tradition. We travel to a local restaurant that serves an extensive buffet on this day of the week. Some of the eatery’s weekly offerings include roast beef, turkey, fried chicken, ham, butter beans, mashed potatoes, homemade dressing, macaroni and cheese, and too many other items to remember. In addition to meats, vegetables, breads, and salads, patrons can help themselves to delectable desserts as well. After eating this monumental feast, my husband and I don’t usually get hungry for the rest of the day. On this blog, you will learn the advantages of visiting a favorite restaurant with your family on Sundays. Enjoy!

Can't Leave Your Desk? Quick But Delicious Lunchtime Options To Consider

A lot of people end up working straight through lunch at their desk. There is often too much work to be done, and you may not have the luxury of going out for a nice lunch. This often results in you buying something that is not too healthy (such as fast food), or buying something that probably doesn't taste that good or is not the most satisfying (things such as meal replacement bars). If you don't make food ahead of time for the entire week, you're most likely not going to be eating home-cooked meals at lunch. However, this doesn't meant that you have to miss out on a delicious lunch. There are a lot of different options to choose from, and here are a few to think about:

Fast Casual Salad Place

If you like salads, you should check out the local fast casual salad shops. These places are great because you can choose from a preset menu that has a lot of different options, or you could build your own salad. Restaurants like these are designed for people who want a fancy salad made to order, but who don't have the time to sit down in a restaurant and eat there. You can get protein in your salad (chicken or falafel) and choose from any number of toppings. In addition to being fast and affordable, these salads are also really easy to eat at your desk. They are usually served in self-contained plastic or biodegradable bowls that you can eat from and then toss.

Italian Restaurants That Deliver

If you're looking for something more substantial, you should look for local Italian restaurants that deliver. You can get anything from a nice gourmet-style personal pizza (not one of those large fast food ones), a light pasta dish, or a salad. These are all fun and delicious things you can have for lunch without spending a good amount of time outside the office. For instance, if you would like one of those fancy, gourmet, wood oven pizzas that you would find in an Italian restaurant, just call around and find one that will serve them to go.

Delivery Service App

You can always get a delivery app and check out the local restaurants in the area around your office. These apps are great because many restaurants that normally don't deliver might join a service where 3rd-party delivery companies will sign up and then deliver for the restaurant. This opens up the possibilities for what you can order for lunch.
