About Me

A Sunday Family Affair

At my household, Sundays are a hectic time for meal preparation. After leaving our place of worship, my husband and I usually don’t have time to cook Sunday lunch. Therefore, we’ve started a Sunday family tradition. We travel to a local restaurant that serves an extensive buffet on this day of the week. Some of the eatery’s weekly offerings include roast beef, turkey, fried chicken, ham, butter beans, mashed potatoes, homemade dressing, macaroni and cheese, and too many other items to remember. In addition to meats, vegetables, breads, and salads, patrons can help themselves to delectable desserts as well. After eating this monumental feast, my husband and I don’t usually get hungry for the rest of the day. On this blog, you will learn the advantages of visiting a favorite restaurant with your family on Sundays. Enjoy!

Manage A Restaurant? How To Keep Your Employees Happy

If you manage a restaurant, then you know just how difficult it can be sometimes to keep your employees happy. But, if you want to have happy customers, then having happy employees is a must. To ensure that your employees stay as happy as possible while they are on the job, this article will list a few different types of things that you can do.

Invest in Automatic Tip Software

Most people pay in credit cards, which means that all of the tips will need to be allocated to your servers and busboys at the end of each working day. Rather than having your staff stay longer to collect their tips after you count everything by hand, invest in some automatic tip distribution software. This type of software will let you take count of all of the tip money and then distribute it to everyone equally at the end of each day or at the end of each week. The other great thing about this software is that it makes it easy for you to manage payroll and to help your employees manage their tax forms at the end of the year since everything is accounted for in one centralized system.

Invest In Scheduling Software

Schedules change every week when you work in a restaurant, and as a manger that can be a lot to juggle, especially when you have employees trading shifts and moving things around. To make sure that every shift is full and that every one of your employees knows when they need to be at work, invest in some scheduling software. This type of software is great because they usually have a mobile version; that way, after you complete the weekly schedule, your employees can log into an app to see what their schedule looks like for the next week or two.

Start Competitions

Everybody likes to have something to work towards, especially when there is an incentive involved at the end of it all. Try to start some competitions among your employees for things like "most tables waited" or "best customer review given." Sometimes a little competition can create a great work environment for everyone.

Now that you have a few suggestions to help create a workplace that all of your employees feel happy to be in and can get work in, it's time to learn more about the software options mentioned in this article.
